Your LKS BOD created a new Fund to hold various funds recieved by the League until specific needs are identified. This money will come from sales of Special Commission Permits, BBBC profits, Endowments given to the LKS, and various other sources.

Uses for these monies will eventually go to conservation projects, which may include leases, easements, or even direct purchase of public hunting lands when they become available. We hope to partner with the KYDFWR to parlay these monies to increase our spending powers. The Board may also authorize the use of this money for selected youth programs if any have needs that we can meet.

We hope to be awarded several of the Special Permits this year and hope this fund grows to enormous capacities. Thanks to Schuyler Olt for assisting the Board in the forming of this Fund.

That's exactly what this is for. If we see a oppurtunity to partner with someone and buy, lease or otherwise secure a tract of land where money was needed instead of an elk tag or some other piece of barter material, then this money might make a difference in aquiring the land verses loosing it to development. As the LKS grows, so will this Fund and should be great thing?
