Anyone had success at getting a turkey to shock gobble while using a dog whistle? I have heard this work, but never actually tried it. I haven't had much success with locator calls, so looking into this. Thanks

I haven't tried much for locator calls, but I've heard car doors slamming will even get them to do it, so I don't think it really matters what you use. Some will do it, some won't. Another thing I've heard that works is a goose call. No one else uses it, so it sounds new, so they shock gobble. Of course, if everyone starts using one, then it won't work anymore either, and then they'll tell us some other call works. Good luck finding something that works for you!

car doors, yelling, dogs barking, mules baying, thunder, cracking a limb against a tree trunk, goose calls, crow calls, peacocks, barge whistles, train whistles, woodpeckers, owls...........yes, but a silent dog whistle no. Bought one of those that MAD calls put out, carried it for two years and kept trying it, never had a bird gobble to it.

I believe Warden310 did some studies in college on frequencies that turkeys hear and I'm thinking he told me that the dog whistle isn't one that they hear.......hopefully he'll read this post and shed some light on this subject.

Ya can't say the Dead Silence call was misleading. I mean, it worked;) Blow it and there was dead silence:(

I didn't fall for it, but the guy I hunt with a lot did. He's had one turkey gobble at it total.

In the new Primos Truth 16 Video they're hunting near a highway and a siren goes off, and Guess what..........The Turkey Gobbles.

Like they say on the DVD, The New Primos Siren.........Gobbler locating call.
