I looked back & didn't see this previously posted, if I duplicate it, sorry.
There was a joint news release on 12/6/02 from American Electric Power (AE) & the KDFWR where they will pay land owners 80% up to $300.00 per acre (max $2000.00) for habitat enhancement under power lines plus an additional $100/acre if the owner maintains it over 3 years.
A biologists will visit the property & owners must follow the biologists' recommendations.
Thought this might be worth looking into if you have power lines across your property. The instructions are to contact the following:
