Went out checking my feeders and mineral blocks and to hunt Squirrel I used one of those K&H Squirrel barkers and got several gobbles and yelps. Had I been using the barker to get Turkeys I would have had no luck this was on accident, Sounds like there ready for April already.

Saturday I heard 8 different gobblers and saw 10 longbeards during the morning hours.

Sunday I heard 6 gobblers and saw 0 birds.

It's sure nice to get up in the morning drinking coffee and listen to these birds. It has been a nice weekend all around.

I think ill probably start going out early every weekend come saturday. The woods here in are tore up with scratchings. I'm seeing all kinds of sign in the plots and woods. I cant wait to get out and hear my first gobble of the year!

Finally got out to the woods today, but it was snowing so hard, nothing was out and about, and if it wasn't for the pup having so much fun, I would have reconsidered staying out as long as we did. Still waiting to hear that first gobble.

This morning at 9 am on the way home from work I saw alone gobbler out in a field strutting his fool head off. I haven't been out scouting yet, but plan to start next week. Got to get ready!
