I got to see about the first 20 laps, so I guess I can't have an opinion, but I always have liked to see a good ol circus monkey beating.

It looked like good old fashioned racing. 20 years ago no one would've thought twice about what happened. The media blows everything out of proportion then bash the drivers for reacting like men.

It's called restrictor plate racing....you don't have many other options. Blocking sucks, but everybody does it.

Well, I am a Stewart fan, and my wife is a Johnson fan, and me being a fan thought he Stewart had the position and Johnson should have given it up. I am all for blocking, as long as you block, but Tony was 1/2 way past him when he basically put him in the wall as they say in Days of Thunder. Now, if #3 would have done it, it would have been a great move. What I thought was funny was Jr saying he couldn't help Tony on the outside at all towards the end of the race yet when he went for the lead, he rolled by him on the outside like Tony was sitting there and maintained the outside line for a while. Tony helped Jr win the 500 last year, I think he should have paid him back by helping Tony keep the lead and win, but that just isn't how it works.

The #15 car was in a class by himself until it blew, so I think we be a moot point if he was in it at the end.

Man, I am so glad the season started, I got tickets to Bristol again this year, and I guess I will hit the Brickyard again just for the pure speeds of it, but man I enjoyed Bristol last year. If only Tony can win a race I go to! :)

Tony just looks for a reason to run his mouth. Jimmy didn't do anything to him to warrant being rammed after the race. Tony's just mad because he knows Jimmy is going to kick his azz again this year. Tony is a good driver, and he can dish it out with the best of them but he can't take it very well.

Tony Stewart is a freak. He wants to run his mouth all the time but what about what he did to Kasey Kahne last year. Was he running his mouth then? No he was covering his arse. Then he wants to run his mouth about D.W. When Tony acomplishes half of what D.W. got done then he can run his mouth. But his attitude wont allow him to accomplish that much. Just my $.02 HEATH

Folks can say what they want about stewart, but that type of stuff has always gone on in NASCAR, it's just more in the public eye now cause of the never ending media coverage. Stewart is a great driver and is well on his way to accomplishing what DW has. If there was ever a crybaby in nascar it was DW. I never liked him when he raced and like him much better as a TV personality.

Jimmy Johnson blocked plain and simple, and almost took out everybody but the top 4 cars doing it.

He was blocking for 5th place and that's horsecrap! I could undertsand for the lead but he blocked him into the 10 car for 5th place!! I became a big Stewart fan this weekend and would lay down $100 of my own money to see him give a spanking to Johnson on TV.

You must have turned off the TV , because Tony was crying like a 6yr old girl. :D You can always count on Tony to race all day on Sunday and complain the rest of the week. He talks all big and bad, but he never does anything. Who hasn't Tony had beef with in the last 2 years?

It looked like good racing to me. Tony's car did as good as it was gonna do. He drove it too hard all day to have anything left at the end.

As far as Jr. leaving him out to dry... that is crap. Tony's car was too slow at the end, Jr. couldn't stay behind him without running him off the track. he only went high until he passed Tony.

It was an awesome race!!! I'm glad the season is back!
