Anyone going to the P.K.C. State hunt in Stanford?

I thought about it, but I'd have to hunt a pup!!! Better stick to training it that night, unless I end up handling someone else's hound!

What kind of hound you got? I'm all about seeing and hearing about a good one. Contrary to the magazines, GOOD ones aren't under every bush haha.

ive been climbing these mountians all my life, but its getting worse in a way. the loggers leave alot of brush laying around. it is really hard navigating through that stuff. if my dog is treed im gonna go to him. like on where the red fern grows if he does his part, i do mine.:D

I heard that. I just got back from a lil hunt. Mine got through the country and treed Took me a while to get to him. When I got there I was hot, sweaty and out of breath. When I got calmed down...I seen it was a HUGE den tree. I get a few of those on these full moon nights! By the time I got finished w/ the tree, I didn't really need to use the walk light to get back to the truck haha.

we have a big den tree that they always go to, but the last time i got ahead of the coon and when the dogs started getting close. we started shining our lights and yelling and it turned around and treed somewhere else. Then we got him.:)

I don't mind those dens too bad. The important part to me is the dog can show you where he is, thats good enough for me. We've lost alot of dens to guys cutting timber in this country. I wish we had a few more.
