I went walking out to my foodplot this morning around 9 or so. As soon as i stepped into the field, i saw 9 hens run. Then, i looked out across the field and probably 800 yards away was 2 HUGE toms. After that, we walked around, looking at sign and walkin the bottoms looking at scratchings and deer trails. When we walked around the field and started going back to camp, we saw more turkey (probably hens). Im guessing there was about 4 or 5 of them. On the way home, i saw 12 turkeys in an old bean field. Im not sure if i can wait any longer for season... but i guess i have to:(

Heard my first "gobble" of the season last monday. Saw a flock of young jakes and a flock of hens and young birds. Still yet to see one strut this season. Won't be long boys. I can't wait to read all of the stories!

This past Sunday me and a buddy were driving home from Alabama and seen a big tom out in the middle of a field in full strut. He had several hens just up the hill from him by the fence row. It was tempting to stop and watch the show. This was still in northern Alabama.
