I would take it down for turkey season and put it back up afterwards. Don't want to get caught hunting a baited site. I have heard stories of guys getting tickets for hunting a baited area and the guys didn't know it was baited such as a neighbor trowing corn out on the border of your property.

According to this, I'd say make sure it is all gone 30 days prior and make sure your not hunting near where feed might have been. One would think it can be up but have to be empty, If Iwas going to leave it up I would make sure it didnt have even 1 kernal in it. You would prolly be ok so long as your not hunting over it but who really knows except the CO in your area, I'd call him and ask that way your safe.

A person hunting wild turkey SHALL NOT use live turkeys as decoys or take a turkey by the aid of baiting, hunt on a baited area while bait is present, or hunt on a baited area for 30 days after all bait has been removed. A baited area is any place where feed, grains or other substances capable of luring wild turkeys have been placed. Turkeys can’t be hunted over any area baited for deer. An area where grains or other feeds exist as the result of legitimate agricultural practices, or as the result of growing or manipulating a crop for wildlife management is legal for hunting. its not how long the feeder has to be removed its "All corn must be removed 30 days prior to hunting..say like you took the feeder down but scattered handful of corn thats doesnt count for your 30 days..
also no set distance from a baited area if turkeys are influenced by any bait you could be charged even in some cases if you dont even know corn is across the fence...just what i have heard can happen..

I plan on just letting our feeders run out. I haven't filled them since the first of January, so they should be empty in a week or so. I'll double check to make sure they're empty but will probalby just leave them hanging.

There cannot be any corn left from that feeder on the property that you are going to hunt. All corn must be gone 30 days before season opener. I have a feeder as well and you bet your butt that it will be back at the house well before season starts.

I would get it out of there. If someone sees it out there, and there happens to be one kernel of corn by it, even if you didn't put any out there for the last 5 months, you still could get in trouble.
