I was looking to put up a website on turkey hunting. Well I was trying to think of a good name and I seen that in here someones forum name was gobblinfever and thought, wow thats a good name so I went and registered the Domain Name of gobblinfever.com and .net well then I got to thinking I have heard that name before and couldnt remeber where so I searched the web for gobblin fever and found www.CrossTimbers.tv (http://www.CrossTimbers.tv) and then it hit me thats a TV show and I've prolly seen it a million times, guess I had a brain lapse or something. So I guess my question is should I go ahead and build a website and put it up or email crosstimbers ask permission? Not sure what to do, I just have about $12.00 in the two names, so money isnt the thing, I just dont want to go throught the hassel of building the site to have them make me take in down or soemthing worse. What do you guys think?

If they left gobblinfever.com open and you registered it, it's yours to use. I'd call the TV show people and tell them you intend to use it for a porno site (not a stretch of the imagination, given the name) --BUT you would be willing to part with it for tidy sum. :)

Not sure what you meant by that, I own Gobblinfever.com and Gobblinfever.net
and was curious what you guys think I should do?

A. Put up a turkey website anyways and not worry about thier TV show?

B. Email cross timbers and ask persmission?

You really don't need their premission. They are yours.
I would go Mossyhorn's route, make some money.

I wouldnt ask for any money, If they offer me some I wouldnt turn it down, but I would think that if they wanted it in the first place they would have registered that name, but who knows.
