I went on Friday. It was the first time that I had attended the convention. I really enjoyed it.

My wife and I went today and it was very crowded. I probably won't go on a saturday again. We still had a good time though, the gobbling contest was a hoot! Tom

What a show! I met Michael Waddel, Walter Parrot, Toxey Haas, Knight and Hale, Will Primos, David Blanton, T-bone, Jonh Michael Montgomery, Alex Rutledge, Drury brothers, Brad Farris, John Tate, and Eddie Salter. The Turkey call makers comp was cool, so was the taxidermy. There was every call make under the sun there. Plenty of activities for the little kids.

Made an appearance today as well. Had a rather good time. Wasn't overly crowded, so I got to look around, talk to several guys about their products.

I visited Friday and didn't have enough time to see everything so I spent most of the day there saturday too :D . This was my first trip to a National event and I was not disappointed.

plus I picked up a new slate call and an owl hooter that mapman talked me into...

Went Sunday and the crowd was light. They said over 30,000 came through on Saturday. THere was some really neat stuff, company reps to answer questions, and some of the most ridiculous stuff you could imagine. It has more of a mom-n-pop flavor to it than the DU festival.

Got to meet Jim Casada and get an autographed copy of his new book on Jack O'Conner. BTW, who are those people Skindog was talking about???:)

I liked the robotic decoys! They were also at the strader show. Lots of money to fool a stupid turkey! I did see alot of the pros buying the stuffers from Hazel Creek.

The only gadget that really caught my eye was the Lazy Leg. I have always wanted something to allow me to keep the gun pointed in the general direction of a working bird and still be able to have my hands free. It was tempting, just couldn't turn loose of the cash.
