Has anyone heard if they are going to open it up for small game hunting ? I want to get in there after dark and turn those hounds loose ! Good huntin' !

I heard they were going to open after this last weekend, but we called and they are not giving any indication that they are going to open.

I called hunt control tonight and they still have not open small game, nor do they expect to be open by this weekend. They said the request has been sent to the commanding general, but a reply has not come back yet.

Anybody heard any rumors that might get my hopes up?

Ft Knox is now open for small game hunting , effective 9:00am , 12/13/01.
Caution , You must FIRST go to Hunt Control to get an area assignment sign-in sheet before MP's will let you thru check point with your guns!! Good Luck and be careful.

Just glad to see they are open! Hassel, maybe--look a "gift horse in the mouth" not me. Opening weekend all over again--watch out bunnies--I'm letting the dogs out! Those sink holes are probably good and flooded, maybe even my biscuit eaters will look good this weekend.

Glad to hear it's opening. The hassle will just have to be dealt with I reckon. Good huntin' ! Hey T ! It's been a while since we heard Striker, Bones & Mel run 'ole Slantface up a tree. Those were the days weren't they ? Remember when I tried to kill all of us coming back from English Days in Ohio ? I tried to tell ya'll I'd fall asleep ! Later.

If you decide to hunt Area 12, you can turn loose at my house if you want. Call me--numbers in the book, if I'm not home, just tell the wife I said it was OK to park there.

Kevin pretty much, only dove hunts. I believe he's gonna' try some deer hunting next year. When I get this young female going, he's going to go with me. I remember all hell breaking loose in that truck that night. We should've slept at that guy's house, where we went and picked up my army coat at. I'll never forget Melvin telling me that Mel would keep me awake. Famous last words. I knew Mel would fall asleep before I did. I do a lot better nowadays. I'll give 'ya a call in a few days.
