blackberry briars

I want 3 or 4 acres of briars.It's currently fescue pasture with some broomsedge and scrub cedars.I wonder if I spray roundup in march,wait a year and fertilize,if the briars would start to thrive.Drill some clover around the outside and it would be a rabbit haven.What do you think?

I don't think it would work unless you transplnat some green briars in there or the black berries. What about Japanese honey sickle???
