I was curious as to as to where everyone went camping each year. Same place, new place, or did both. My girlfriend and I just started going a couple years ago, and have went to the same place twice, and usually can only get one chance a year that we can both go, so we are torn about where we choose to go. Same place that we really like, or try out new places that we might like better or not like at all. If we had the opportunity, we'd probably go to the same place once, and then try out a new place as well.

We don't get to go very often, but last year my daughter got the bug when we had a practice run in the backyard. We did it all the way with campfire and roasting marshmallows. We did eventually come in around 4 am. The soft bed was too tempting. Before my daughter came along my wife and I would go a couple times a year and it was always a different place. I plan to go a few times this summer.

it always depends on the group that is going with us.
if it's a rowdy bunch (15-20 guys) then we go deep in the woods and
FAR FAR away from the roads.
if it's just me and my father-in-law and bro-in-laws, and their sons then it's usually where we can drive to in our jeeps or by canoes.

My wife and I have a couple of spots that we usualy go to, but this year I'm going to try to get her to go to some new places that I've had in mind. Im in the process of fixing up our canoe, and I'm gonna try to get her into some deep woods camping, where we have to go down a creek or two to get there. She likes the idea of staying at a campground though, so it may take a while.

I like different places, mostly back country. But the wife likes to have showers. I am starting to really dislike the campgrounds in KY by any of the lakes. The boaters camping there make the places dangerous for the kids to ride bikes or play. They all seem to drive 55 in the campgrounds half drunk and if you drive slow they honk and yell cuss words at you. Just bought a portable shower and poti. Going to go back to the back woods this summer and stay away from the improved sites.

I usually only camp near my hunting areas,........ Three weeks a year. (one for Turkey, and two weeks for deer hunting)
My wife and I are very avid outdoors people. Every year we go to Colorado among other places. While in Co we climb 14ers. Colorado has 54 mountains that are over 14000 feet in elevation. Less than 1000 people have ever climbed them all. My wife and I have made the trip numerous times. At last count I think we have climbed 18 of the 54 peaks. This is something we look forward for many months and spend several months a year training before the trip. The places we go around Ky or east of the Mississippi are nice but they just can't compare to places out west. Everybody has their own idea of backpacking I like it almost impossible!

My family loves to camp!
there are so many places to go that you should never have to cross the same road unless you want to.
We have camped at half of Kentucky,s State parks as well as Ohio West virginia
and Virginia.
Some of our favorite places were Cannaan Valley , The Breaks , L.B.L
Lake Erie, and Boonesboro. :) :)
