Don't know if anyone has used these Lil' Grizz coon traps, but they are incredible. I bought a dozen to start the year, had one stolen the first night out. I've caught 28 coons so far, with 24 in these grizz traps and the others in 220 coni's.

The are a little pricey but more than worth it. I've been baiting with mini marshmallows and peanut butter and haven't had any get the bait without getting caught. Had 4 out last night and had 3 coons this morning. Got 8 out tonight, I'll report in tomorrow!

This may be a dumb question but I have never been coon hunting or trapping. What do you do with a coon. eat it? use the fur? Just curious, Also is coon hunting fun?

I only use the fur, but have a neighbor that takes the smaller coons to eat. If you like running around in the dark looking for a barking dog, then coon hunting is perfect. I have coon hunted but prefer the challenge of trapping over chasing them with dogs.

If you have a good food base or you're along a creek you'll always have coons.

Caught 3 coons, 2 skunks, and a muddy red fox in the past 2 days. Been trying hard for the foxes, but it's tough to keep my sets working in all this rain.

One of the coons is going to stretch over 35 inches, that's a jumbo coon!
