Decoys??

Do you think it would make a difference if you your decoys on a pond that you are hunting for a few days to try and help get ducks to use the pond if there not using it

On the pond we're hunting this year, we've left our decoys out there the whole time. The pond we're hunting is a strip mine retention basin, so it's fairly steep-sided and very little food unless the water's high. I think it's helped to attract a few locals, because until we put them out there, very few ducks were seen using it.

Well some of the ponds I hunt dont have many ducks on them 1 or 2 maybe but there are some ponds that are close to were I hunt that has several ducks on them But NO ONE is allowed to hunt them period
so I thought that maybe if I left a Few Decoys on the my ponds maybe I could attract more ducks cause all the ponds are with in 400 or 500 yards of each other and offer about the same cover

guess I will give it a try
