Don't get me wrong, I love deer hunting...but this countdown is the one that I absolutely look forward to all year... actually went out the other day to glass a little and scout out what I got around right now. Two nice toms! the weekend scouting rituals start up in full swing the end of feb for me. hopefully i'll have some pics then. Can't wait to hear them gobbling again.

I flushed a flock Thursday that had at least 75 birds. They just kept coming up and it smelled like a poultry house.

Now that I have had the time to think about it, I don't know if it is the sex that tears me up so much or the turkey hunting. I can live without sex but I can't live without turkey hunting.

Walking through the living room this morning and the tv was on a hunting show(go figure). Came in right when a old tom on the show fired off a double gobble. The hair on the back of my neck stood up and my ears perked up. Won't that clock run any faster???
