Is anyone interested in traping muskrats?

I work at a confinment Hog farm where we have a constructed wetlands that we use to filter the water from the farm.

The water is caught in 2 lagoons where the solids settle out, the water runs through 5 cells of wetlands of cattails and bullrushes.

The muskrats are burrowing into the banks and creating a danger of the bank collapsing and letting 1000s of gallons water go.

We are discusing putting a bounty $$ per muskrat!

I am not sure of the amount yet but if anyone is interested contact me by PM or BrentyRT@aol.com

The farm is in Butler Co. about 15 mi. from Bowling Green

Do you know what a catfish pot looks like?

You can wire corn inside and catch multiple rats at one time pretty easy. Works best if the pot is only half submerged. Once one rat gets in there, it seems to draw others.

Since there is no fighting, etc, they don't get trap shy so easily and often they can really be worked on around ponds.
