I just saw the weather for next weekend. It looks like it is going to be low's in the 30's and highs in the 40's. What's even better than that is that I have to go with a stupid college class to Mississippi and I get to miss the whole opening day of rifle season. I'm sure I'll learn a whole lot. I'm sure it will be worth missing the first day of RIFLE SEASON.

There isn't anything that I can think of to miss opening day of rifle season. I think if I was married I would even miss my wife getting pregnant and go hunting instead.

Thats why I'm still a single man. I can't find a woman that doesn't mind being second place to deer.

Well I am on wifey #2 and she understands that I will forever hunt the mystical deer god. She further understands that this time is a time that i get to relax and recharge my batteries. I am very fortunate and tell her that all the time.

If you guys have wives that won't let you hunt, you just didn't go far enough up into the holler to get your girl. I got mine down in McCreary County-- traded her momma a microwave for her only daughter. Girfriend doesn't mind me hunting at all, and her momma is still wondering why I was so generous.
Those ones you find down in the bottom of the holler are the lazy ones that their kin send down to get rid of. The get their clothes bundled up and a dollar for bus fare, and its for good reason. They do nothing but complain, and they get ugly with age. Mine, on the other hand, just keeps getting sweeter.
I know what I'm talking about-- I got my first one from Cincinnati. All she wanted to do was look in store windows and complain. She ate too much and she wouldn't let me hunt but once a week. I left her, right after she threw me out.
As to the weather, It's looking like Sunday is going to be rain and snow up my way. I hope the deer know this and get out to the store to stock up. I'll pick 'em off on the way home.

Does she have any sisters with the same line of thinking? Just in case I start looking, after the season is over?
