yYesterday-----I am hunting in Northern Ohio and took half day from work. Got in the stand by 1:30 and walked up on a little 6 pointer as I went in. I put out Doc's doe in heat sent and waited. About an hour befor dark I heard something coming, about 80 yards I saw a heavy 10 pointer. I grunted 3 times and and he didn't look my way. I then grunted a gain 3 more times ...nothing. There was no wind so I know he could hear my grunts. He vanished into the wood and I then rattled...nothing. What did I do wrong?????????

Nothing, Thats Why It's Called Hunting And Not Killing:)
That's just hunting....keep after him and good luck.

Yep, that's just the way it goes sometimes. I've had good bucks just a bit out of range and try to get them in with a variety of calls, only to be completely ignored. Then again, I've had them come running into range. I think sometimes they just have their mind made up to do something else and they don't care what else is going on.

Yep, that is the fun of it. I had little bucks ignoring all day yesterday and then I saw a big 8 pointer, grunted twice at him, and he came running in. Unfortunately, he came to the wrong side of my tree and I couldn't get turned around to get a shot at him. I couldn't believe that he didn't know that he was supposed to come to the left side of the tree, not the right :)

Try a doe bleat as opposed to the buck noises. May be that he is looking for love and not for a fight.

Didn't do anything wrong, thats just the nature of the beast. You could have thrown every call in the book at him and still might have had the same results.
Try a doe bleat like smashdn suggested.
