Hey, fellow bow hunters and I am just wondering what kind of sights and arrow rest you would recomend for an old hunter like me ? I am using what came from the factory on my PSE DeerHunter the usually stick pin sight prone arrow rest that my arrow keeps falling off of. And would you put solid limb savers on this bow. I thought when I get thru this season I might invest in a Mattews Mustang I have a small draw lenght for a grow man only 25 1/5 inches GOD gave me short limbs I guess but a big heart. Any ideas or stay with the set up I have now.

i just went to a whisker biscuit and let me tell you i love it...no more trying to hold the arrow on as i stand to draw...lol...also about the sights..get a good set of those..you may need them to shine brightly when there is little light and that record decides to show himself...lol...good luck and let us know what you choose

This year I decided to go with the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone arrow rest and absolutely love it. No complaints at all...yet

Also went with one of the more pricier set of sights, the Cobra Sidewinders, they have the fiberoptic pins and they wrap around and around and around collecting every ounce of light that's still lingering out there.

$89 for rest
$89 for sight

Like jeremy just said though, when that record decides to show, you want to be able to get that shot off...

I put a whisker biscuit on my mathews and love it. once its in there it doesnt move..it makes a slight noise when y ou pull back but not enough to spook deer in my opinion....i use cobra sights and have been happy with them also.....good luck out there

I have to put my vote in for the biscuit, it's a great hunting rest. The site I've had my eye on is the "trophey matrix" (I think it's called), it has easy adjustments and great pins.

Im in the biscuit camp and use the verical pin trophy ridge. I aim more for reliability in the woods than perfection, so I cant go to a drop away yet.

Can't go wrong w/ the bisquit as the above have suggested. As for the sight, I very highly recommend a Copper John sight.

I spooked deer twice this year when my arrow fell off my rest. I switched to a biscuit and have not had a problem since. Got my first doe of the year after switching.

Of course some people will disagree, but I think the Whisker Biscuit is the best hunting rest on the market, because it's simple, basically foolproof (I need that :D) and provides very good accuracy even though some people are a bit skeptical.

As for sights, last year I switched to a Copper John Dead Nuts and couldn't be happier. I also like how the Trophy Ridge sights work (very simple adjustment), so that might be a good option too, but I personally don't like the vertical pins because the black space between the pins annoys me when gap aiming at odd distances.

I started with the old-style static rests and flipper rests on my compound bow, but back then that was all you could get... lol

I bought the Whisker when they first came out and loved it... until I ended up missing a few shots because it was ripping off fletching at the worst time! I hear they are MUCH better now, but I've already switched to the Bodoodle Zapper rest and won't go back. I one on both of my Brownings. They hold the arrow in place and they'll only fall off the rest if you bump the arrow hard. The best part is that nothing touches the fletching. Another bonus is that they cost less than a Whisker Biscuit!

As for sights... One bow has the 4-pin Browning sights. They're easy to see, but short fibers are hard to see in very low light situations. The other bow has an older 3-pin Cobra mounted on it. Not sure of the model, but it has the wrapped pins that gather a lot more light.

I agree with Drew.
