I have a neighbor that has several horses in a pasture. Everyday when he feeds the horses they spill some grain out of the feed pan's. As soon as they leave the area he feeds them in here comes the turkeys to glean whatever grain that got spilled. Before you get your shorts in a knot..I DO NOT PLAN ON HUNTING THESE BIRDS.. Just curious what the law would say about this..[?] Would this be consitered baiting turkeys even tho the grain was food for the horses. Maybe they should arrest the horses for baiting...[:D]

My understanding is you can hunt over "normal agricultural practices." Feeding cows and horses in feed troughs is normal. If the animal spills some it could be hunted. Feeding cows and horses grain on the ground is not normal. It could not be hunted over.

But, I would talt to the CO. He would be the one to ticket you and make the decision.
